Overview #

LivecheckAI is powered by the Quality Clouds MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration, designed to ensure that AI-assisted code such as GitHub Copilot, fully complies with your organization’s development standards, governance policies, and security best practices.

It brings real-time validation and governance directly into your IDE, providing immediate feedback and automatic fixes as you code, before non-compliant code reaches repositories or production environments.

Getting Started #

Step 1 – Install Visual Studio Code

If you don’t have VSCode installed:

1. Go to https://code.visualstudio.com/download
2. Download and install the version for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

Step 2 – Install the Livecheck for Quality Clouds Extension

1. Open Visual Studio Code.
2. Go to the Extensions tab
3. Search for “Livecheck Quality for Salesforce”.
4. Click Install to add it to your environment.

Once installed, LivecheckAI will be available within your projects, ready to connect to Quality Clouds.

Step 3 – Authenticate with Quality Clouds

New users / Non-customers

1. Complete the sign-up form using the following link: Quality Clouds Sign up
2. Follow the guided instructions to provide your credentials and create your account.
3. After signing up, wait for confirmation of your account activation.
4. Once confirmed, return to the Livecheck for Quality Clouds Extension in Visual Studio Code and authenticate to Quality Clouds
5. Access the Quality Clouds settings from the bottom-left corner of the Visual Studio Code

   

6. Select to authenticate via Quality Clouds credentials

   

7. Once authenticated,  you will be able to access and use the LivecheckAI functionality directly from the extension

Quality Clouds Customers

1. Ensure that the auto-update setting is enabled in the Quality Clouds Extension for Visual Studio Code so the latest version of the extension is always installed.
2. Request your Quality Clouds Success Manager to enable the LivecheckAI Add-on for your account.
3. Once the add-on is activated, you will be able to access and use the LivecheckAI functionality directly from the extension

Step 4 – Verify the Integration

To confirm LivecheckAI is connected:

1. Open GitHub Copilot in VS Code
2. Add a command to generate a code
3. LivecheckAI will analyze your code automatically, fixing issues,  showing feedback, warnings, or suggestions inline.
