Rule Builder: Create and Govern Custom Quality Rules (add-on) #
An AI-powered feature, accessible from Development Tracking, that lets teams create custom quality rules directly within the app:
- Create custom rules based on your own criteria, including System Properties, with AI assistance guiding the process.
- The AI agent generates a plain-language and technical description of each rule so reviewers understand what it does before approving it.
- A built-in Approve/Reject workflow controls which rules go live, based on user permissions.
- A Pending Approval Rules list tracks what’s awaiting review; rules can be tested even while pending.
Â
To access it: your organization needs the Rule Builder add-on enabled, and each user needs the Rule Creator toggle activated on their profile. For more information, follow this article: Rule Builder for ServiceNow
