QC Copilot is an add-on available for the Quality Clouds VSCode extension. When enabled, it allows developers to request AI-generated, issue-specific recommendations and apply fixes directly within their editor.

Note: This feature requires the QC Copilot add-on to be activated. Contact your Quality Clouds administrator to enable it.

What does it do? #

QC Copilot helps developers resolve issues identified by QC LiveCheck by generating smart, contextual recommendations. Fixes are displayed in a side panel, where developers can preview, apply, or discard the change, and optionally rate the result to improve future suggestions.

How to request a recommendation #

You can request a QC Copilot recommendation in two ways:

1. From the Quality Center:

• Open the Quality Center and locate a file with issues.
• In the Issues table for a specific element, a new QC Copilot column appears.
• Click the Request Fix button next to an issue.
• The editor will automatically open the affected file.
• A new QC LiveCheck will run to confirm the issue still exists.
• If confirmed, the recommendation is generated and shown in a side panel.
• You can then:
  • Preview the fix in context.
  • Apply or discard the suggestion.
  • Rate the recommendation to provide feedback.
    
    

2. From the file directly:

• Open the file in your editor and run a QC LiveCheck.
• Once the scan completes, issues will be:
  • Underlined directly in the code.
  • Listed in the Problems panel.
• To request a fix:
  • Hover over an issue in the file and click Request QC Copilot Fix, or
  • Click the issue in the Problems panel and select Request QC Copilot Fix.
• If the issue still exists after the check:
  • The recommendation will be generated.
  • A side panel will open, showing the proposed fix.
  • You can preview, apply, or discard the fix and optionally provide a rating.
