Two ways to sign up #

Social login (recommended — one click). Sign up with the Google, GitHub, or Bitbucket account you already have. You’ll be sent to the provider’s authorisation screen once, and back to Norma with an account created. No password to set, no email verification step to complete.

Email and password. Prefer not to use a social provider? Create an account with your email address and a password. You’ll need to accept the Terms of Service to complete signup.

Both paths land you in the same product. Your workspace and Free-tier subscription are set up the same way in either case.

How to sign up with a social provider #

  1. Go to the Norma sign-up page. (This is the default landing page — qualityclouds.ai redirects here for anyone who isn’t logged in.)
  2. Click one of the three buttons at the top:
    • Sign up with Google
    • Sign up with GitHub
    • Sign up with Bitbucket
  3. You’ll be sent to that provider’s authorisation screen. Approve the requested permissions. Norma only requests the minimum needed to identify you — it does not request repository access at this step.
  4. You’re back in Norma with an account ready to use. Next step: connect your first repository.

By clicking a social provider button, you agree to the QualityClouds Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — the acceptance disclosure is shown right under the buttons.

How to sign up with email and password #

Below the social buttons on the same page, an or divider separates the social path from the email path.

  1. Enter your first name, last name, and email address.
  2. Enter a password and confirm it in the second password field. Choose something strong and unique to Norma.
  3. Tick the Terms & Privacy checkbox to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  4. Click Create account.
  5. Depending on your Keycloak realm configuration, you may receive a confirmation email to verify your address. Follow the link in that email if so; otherwise you go straight to the app.
  6. Next step: connect your first repository.

Passwords must meet the platform’s default password policy (minimum length, mixed character types). The form will tell you if your password doesn’t meet the policy — no need to memorise the rules upfront.

What Norma creates for you #

Regardless of which path you used, when you sign up Norma creates:

  • An account identified by your email address (either your social provider’s email or the email you entered).
  • A personal workspace to hold your repositories.
  • A Free tier subscription. You can stay on Free indefinitely or upgrade to Pro at any time — see Tiers and quotas.

Signing in later #

Sign in with the same method you signed up with — social provider or email. See Sign in for the full sign-in flow, including forgot-password recovery.

Frequently asked questions #

Which method should I choose? #

Social login is faster (one click) and means you never need to remember a Norma password. Email/password is a good choice if you’d rather not tie your account to a social provider, or if your organisation restricts which OAuth apps you can authorise. Both give you the same product access.

Can I use both — sign up with social and add a password later? #

Not in this release. An account is created with one method and stays on that method. If you want to switch (for example, add an email/password fallback to a social account), contact support and we can help.

What if my Google / GitHub / Bitbucket email is different across providers? #

Each provider identity is treated as a separate Norma account. Sign in with the same provider you signed up with to find your existing workspace. The same applies to email/password: an email/password account is a separate identity from a social-provider account, even if the email happens to match.

Can I change my email later? #

For social accounts, change the email at your provider and it will update in Norma on your next sign-in. For email/password accounts, contact support to change the account email in this release — self-serve email change is on the roadmap.

I forgot my password. What now? #

Click Forgot password? on the sign-in page. We’ll send a reset link to your email address. This only applies to email/password accounts — social accounts don’t have a Norma password to reset. See Sign in — I forgot my password.

Can I delete my account? #

Yes. You can delete your account from Organisation Settings → Danger Zone → Delete organisation. See Delete account. This applies to both social and email/password accounts.
