What it does #
The public demo is the same curated demo repository, opened up for anyone to read. You see the real Norma interface with real results — the same report a signed-in user sees — so you can judge what the product does on actual code, not a marketing mock-up. It’s read-only by design: the whole point is to show you the report, then invite you to run one on your own repository.
You’ll find it at the /demo link on the Quality Clouds website and in shared links. If you’re already signed in and open the demo link, Norma takes you straight to the demo inside your account instead.
Want to see Norma before creating an account? The public demo shows a real, already-scanned report — score, coverage, and issues — to anyone with the link. No sign-up, no login, nothing to install.
What you’ll see #
The public demo opens on the repository Overview:
- A top bar with the Norma wordmark and, on the right, a Log in link and a Sign up free button.
- The repository header with a green SUCCESS status, the matched stack-profile, and the branch and provider.
- Where a signed-in user would see Run scan, the public view shows a Read-only label and a Sign up to scan your code button.
- Three tabs: Overview, Coverage, and Issues (with a count).
- The Production Ready Score panel — a READY / NOT READY verdict, the score out of 100, and three tiles: Rulesets, Rules, and Findings.
- A Score by functional area grid, with a card per area (Architecture, Maintainability, Manageability, Performance, Scalability, Security) showing its score, a PASS/FAIL badge, severity breakdown, and weight.
On the Coverage tab you can see the demo’s stack profile, the tools that ran, and how many rules each carries. On the Issues tab you get the full list of findings — filterable, sortable, and groupable by rule — with the detail and fix guidance for each. Rule pages are available for the rules that produced those findings.
What isn’t available without an account #
The public demo shows the report and nothing beyond it. Signed-out visitors don’t see the left sidebar, the workspace selector, upgrade or usage controls, or an account menu — and there’s no Run scan, repository import, or editor setup. Because the public report is limited to deterministic findings, the AI Findings tab isn’t part of the public view.
Follow any link that would leave the demo — into settings, another repository, or a scan action — and Norma sends you to sign up first, then returns you to where you were headed once your account is ready.
Turning the demo into your own report #
Every call to action leads to the same place: run this on your own code. Click Sign up free (or Sign up to scan your code) and create an account with a social provider or an email and password — see Sign up. Your place is preserved through sign-up, and you land in your new account ready to connect your first repository.
Notes #
- Nothing to consent to in order to read. A cookie banner may appear (it controls analytics only) but it never blocks the report.
- No account, no cost. Viewing the public demo requires no sign-up and uses no quota.
- If the demo is briefly unavailable, you’ll see a friendly “This demo is temporarily unavailable” page with a Sign up free to scan your own code button — never a dead-end error.
